  Ev3  is an EXTERNAL ANALOGUE MODULE  to be connected directly to the DAC CHIP output (current mode). See detail for application

 

 

 

Two solutions, each one need to connect the Ev3 internally yo the DAC or the CD player, completely eliminating operational amplifiers, discrete or tube in the  internal analogue output section. 

it can be connected to any pure PCM current output DAC CONVERTER  (starting from 1 mA output),

 

ACTIVE VOLTAGE AMPLIFIERS: NONE

  • 2 step-up trasformers per channel - each one driven in CURRENT MODE (NOT Current generators). The 2 Single ENDED transistors are UNable to control the current thru the low input impedance of the transformers (36 ohms), so avoiding current local Feed Back.  The S.E. transistors are fed by means of 8 INDUCTIVE pi-grec cells. The signal transformers used are the new Royal Device RD 15 -4 

  • internal power supply with 8 inductive pi-grec cells and 6 resistive cells separated for each channel, bias and output stages

  • coupling via transformers and one or 2 emitter follower S.E. transistor stage used as impedance adaptor for extreme low noise and negligible THD and intermodulation distortion without the use of any Feed back.

  • minimum input current: 1 mA

  • Input impedance: 300 ohm - need 30 ohm external load into the DAC output section

  • Frequency response:  12 a 80 KHz (-1 dB)

  • Maximum output voltage:  5 Vrms - standar setting 2,5 Vrms

  • minimum load > 700 ohm- Standard external load 10 Kohm with 3 Kohm internal load

  • S/N > 95 dB

  • 6,5 mm chassis

  • metalized racing blu finishing - front and back mirror finishing stainless steel

In thi section we had the possibility to compare 4 players all, umodificed with its own external Royal Device EV3 module

A Phlips 960 on the left, a ONKYO INTEGRA on the center a ROTLA with PCM 63 on the right. till there is the CD 85 MArantz of the Royal Device audio room on the back

The players where suing their own UDIN CD syncronized together. by means of a switch placed on the listening position, it is possible to swithc from one to the other.
