Sistemi completi Royal Device in ascolto in USA dopo la mia continua negazione nel dare un amp RD (Blu Eyes/FRANCIS in USA o RD-300B/SARA in USA), un cavo, un pezzo di ferro RD da recensire fine a se stesso, oltralpe (molto oltralpe, direi overseas ) invece, diversi giornalisti americani qualche mese fa hanno fatto a gara (sara' vero?) per avere almeno uno dei due sistemi completi RD da recensire (uno con l'amp Blu Eyes+LAURA l'altro con RD-300B+Erica sempre con relativi cavini & cavetti RD). La cosa che fa specie e' che finalmente qualcuno inizia a farsi domande invece di dare risposte. Le poche righe che seguono danno un'idea ... ora anche gli americani riescono a comprendere le parole delle loro canzoni... |

I have been listening to the Sara, RD bi-wire cables, and Legend 6's (on 17" stands) with a wide variety of program material, and I am very (VERY) impressed. The system does not have any spectacular effects or anything that draws attention to the equipment itself, rather it produces MUSIC! I have been staying up late listening to as many different CD's as I can, finding out that there is music on them that I haven't heard before, revealed by the intelligibility and lack of 2nd order harmonic distortion that is common with most 300B amplifiers. The 300B "sparkle" is there, without added harmonic colorations. I can understand lyrics on many songs that I have never been able to understand before, I no longer have to read the album notes to find out what the lyrics are! This is amazing to me, as I have had many of my CD's for years, and never have been able to understand the lyrics before. At the same time, the music never sounds "clinical" or "dry", always rich and textured, beautiful rendition of strings, woodwinds, brass, and human voice. Celia Bartoli, Naum Starkman, Christian McBride, Keith Jarret, Diana Kral, Kurt Elling, Ein Heldenleiben, Brahams, Bartok, Dvorak, Mahler are all expressive and full-bodied, with a presence and gravitas in the "dark" passages, yet lively and bouncy in "light" passages. I think this is the finest SET amp I have ever heard, at any price - the Sara does nothing wrong, and does many things right, I can't find any flaws at all, it is never irritating or annoying, no listening fatigue, I can listen for hours and hours and never get tired of listening, I want to hear more (I'm not getting enough sleep since I started playing it!). about my questions and the questions from the reviewer on your designs: we are just trying to learn about your designs, and why they sound better than other products, and why you have made the choices you have made with regard to input and output impedance, etc. Best regards Randy Bankert - www.ossaudio.com - distributore USA |

come dire: spiegami perche' una Ferrari o una Porsche funziona meglio di una automobile messa insieme con magari pezzi simili acquistati "a caso" dal ricambista. Domanda: Ma verra' il giorno in cui qualcuno iniziera' a capire che l'hi-fi e' come un'automoblile e che non si possono prendere pezzi a caso per connetterli uno all'altro per vedere se il suono migliora rispetto a prima? Domani vado dal ricambista e compero 6 pistoni della Porsche e li sostituisco a quelli del mio 6 cilindri BMW, se la Porsche va piu' forte, sono quasi certo che anche il mio BMW migliorera'. Non so, forse e' meglio che mi faccia anch'io delle altre domande sui pistoni, piuttosto che avere sempre delle risposte pronte.... ci pensero' per il pistone perche', devo dire che il recensore ed il distributore le domande se le fanno, e non hanno detto (come leggo sempre in Italia) suona meglio perche'... bla bla bla..... Forse allora recensire un sistema completo serve. E forse farsi delle domande serve.... bene......anche oggi ho imparato di nuovo qualcosa.... mumble mumble chissa' cosa mi costeranno 6 pistoni Porsche. per la serie: Le risposte pronte sono dure a morire.... 'notte... |
