The higher efficiency ever obtained without hearable distortion without using horns on midrange

Roberto Delle Curti, Royal Device designer, reveals how it has been possible to make the bigger speaker of the world for the GREATEST AUDIO ROOM of the WORLD.

The two frontal speakers (left and right) are made of 8 LAURA speakers per channel (see LAURA) with a total of 16 floorstanding loudspeakers. This configuration, together with The NO-CROSSOVER choice makes a BIG MONOWAY speaker that reproduces frequencies from 30 Hz to 9 Khz. The range from 5 to 30 Hz is reinforced by the BIGGEST HORN SUBWOOFER of the WORLD while the HIGH FREQUENCY range is integrated by the exclusive wood MIRANDA-HORN that does not use ANY FRONTAL PHASER. The total system sensitivity is 110 dB/1 Watt/1 meter giving the possibility to reproduce sound levels at 6 meters away much higher than live concert pressure levels (the electrical medium power output is in this case roughly 0.5 to 1 Watt), without hearable distortion and without getting annoing listening at all.

Any LAURA speaker has a Hi-efficiency 21 cm (8.5") CUSTOM WOOFER back loaded (the system uses a particular horn Royal Device horn loading that reduces speaker cabinet dimensions and reproduce a better low frequency response in respect to Labirynth systems). Each woofer has a frontal mechanical filter to smooth break-up and linearize the hi-range 24 dB solpe natural woofer decay.

The EXTERNAL part of the TOTAL speaker is similar to a big driver that reproduces the Extremely BASS Audio range. In this case the speaker is made by all the 8 output mouths of the LAURA speakers (in elliptical configuration), improved by the side exponential frontal loading made by the side panels plus the ceiling and floor loading. The final speaker must be also considered in the TRI-DIMENSIONAL way. The CENTRAL part of the TOTAL speaker is similar to a big driver that reproduces all the: LOW-MID, MID e MID-HI range of the audio spectrum. In this case the driver is made by the 8 frontal woofers (in ellitptic configuration), improved by the side loading made by the side exponential panels ( dotted lines). Also in this case the final speaker must be considered in the TRI-DIMENSIONAL way. The INTERNAL part of the speaker is made by the exclusive Royal Device wood RD-HORN with NO FRONTAL PHASER mechanically phase aligned with the 8 woofers but mechanically disengaged from the LAURA speakers. The RD-HORN reproduces the HI-RANGE up to 20 KHz.
